Where is the new stadium located?
The new stadium will be located north and slightly east of the existing stadium in parking lots 3, 4, 6, 7, 8. It has a footprint of 700,000 square feet.
When will the new stadium open?
The new stadium will open for the 2010 season.
What is the name of the stadium?
The name of the new stadium has not yet been determined.
Will there be public transportation to the new stadium?
Yes, a brand new rail facility will drop fans right at the front door of the stadium giving thousands of patrons a quick, convenient, and cost effective travel alternative to driving. In addition to the new transit station the Port Authority will continue to provide bus service to and from the stadium.
Will parking be improved?
The new stadium will offer fans significant parking and traffic improvements. The parking lots have been redesigned by experts for maximum efficiency. The 16 existing highway and road access lanes will increase to more than 40 with new infrastructure improvements, creating smoother and shorter rides. Parking lots will radiate from the stadium with more direct access through road circulation improvements and new inner and middle loop road systems.
Will fans still be able to tailgate in the parking lots?
Tailgating has become a ritual for Jets and Giants fans. Fans will still be able to enjoy traditional tailgating in the parking lots as well as enhanced organized tailgating experiences including new tailgate zones linked to the stadium by pedestrian walkways.
These tailgating zones as well as a plaza that will surround the entire stadium will be filled with fan-centric activities and concessions including merchandise, more food and beverage options, and entertainment. From the biggest and best barbecue you’ll ever see to interactive games that pit you against your favorite NFL players – there will be something fun for fans of all ages.
Will the stadium be used for other types of events?
The new stadium will be the greatest sports entertainment facility in the nation. In addition to NFL football, the stadium will showcase college football, international soccer, concerts and more.
What will the stadium look like?
From a distance, the building will present a sleek and modern profile. The eight–story open air facility will employ a unique louver exterior which will provide the building with one of its most unique features – the ability to transform overnight to meet the needs of each team. From an iconic Great Hall entrance, with its 400 foot long and 40 foot high Great Wall and team specific wayfinding signage, fans of both the Jets and the Giants will feel at home in their new stadium.
An intimate seating bowl and unobstructed sightlines combined with cutting edge sound systems, digital boards and electronic media will work together to form an experience that heightens the game. The new stadium will be the only sports venue in the nation with four scoreboards. These massive screens at each of the four stadium corners will keep fans inspired by the best action and latest information.
How many seats will it have?
The new stadium will have 82,500 seats.
Will the stadium have a roof?
No, the stadium will not have a roof. It will be an open-air facility.
Where will the teams practice?
Both teams will build new practice facilities. The Giants new training facility will be located at the Meadowlands. The Jets new training facility will be located in Florham Park, New Jersey.
How will location of season tickets be determined in new bowl layout?
Both teams understand the importance of seat locations for Season Ticket Holders..Each team will be contacting its Season Ticket Holders about seat locations closer to the opening of the new stadium.
How much will tickets cost?
Each team will set its own ticket prices. The cost of tickets has not yet been determined. More information about the cost of tickets will be provided closer to the opening of the new stadium.
Are there going to be PSL’s?
Neither team has determined a policy on personal seat licenses. More information about PSL’s will be provided closer to the opening date of the new stadium.
Where can I buy tickets?
